Hi there darlings!
Well Sunday night was a big TV night with the season finale of “Breaking Bad”, and the season premieres of “Homeland” and “Revenge”. Now while I’m a big “Homeland” fan and embarrassingly quite a bit behind on “Breaking Bad”, I must say that the fashion choices, while crucial to the stories are a bit less than inspiring in my everyday wardrobe. Fortunately the ABC guilty pleasure “Revenge” perfectly fills that void. So without further adieu here are a few of the looks that peaked my fancy! Warning: there’s a bit of a spoiler here if the premiere is still sitting in your DVR.

Ashley Davenport’s style has always been my favorite both on and off screen (check out Ms. Madekwe’s lovely blog Ring my Bell). So I’m very sad that her character was, as Nolan cleverly put it, “Davendeported”. Fortunately she went out with a bang. Her white cut out dress by Cushnie et Ochs Oscar was stunningly modern and paired wonderfully with her Old Hollywood hair and make-up. You can find the striking dress in black here.
I love that there was a consistent theme of classic meets modern in this episode when it came to the ladies’ dresses. It seems fitting with the old school glamour of the Hamptons meeting the seedy world of Revenge that the fashion on the show would have its own paradox. And of course Emily Thorne would display that contradiction perfectly as Revenge’s resident faux philanthropist meets expert saboteur. This Caroline Herrera Baroque Jacquard dress (which you can find at Neiman Marcus) is classic underneath with a surprise pop of orange on top, mirroring the theme of the show. Emily kept up the classic look with a Grace Kelly inspired bun. As a side note, Nolan really knows how to make his way into photos!
So what have we learned today? Well, when you’re dealing in the tricky world of revenge, go with something classic with a hint of unexpected. It’ll keep ‘em guessing
