Hi there darlings!
This weekend kicked off two of my favorite things, Fall and Awards Season! So I took a break from reveling in all the loveliness fall has to offer only to watch the best night in TV, the Emmys! Now while I love looking back at all the brilliant performances from the past year, my favorite element has to be the fashion. So without further adieu, here are a few of my favorite looks!
Zooey’s J Mendel dress was a stunning icy blue, but what I think I loved most was her continued commitment to 60s style. Her red carpet looks as of late seems to embrace a classic mod look, especially in her make-up and hair and I just adore the fact that she embraces a period that speaks to her!
Mermaid dresses aren’t always my favorite, but Julie looked like a perfect princess in this peach Zac Posen gown and when you’ve been best supporting actress at the awards ceremony twice, you get to look a little extra special!
I fell in love with how chic Rose Byrne looked in this Calvin Klein number! Her hair and make-up were simple and flawless and everyone should take note on how to make a crop top look effortlessly classic.
Kerry looked absolutely stunning in this Marchesa gown. The tulle-skirted dress with floral applique and gold embroidery was the perfect look for the nominee and newlywed. In my opinion Kerry can do no wrong but the grandeur of this dress was particularly well suited to someone who is really on top of their game and Kerry surely is!
Well darlings, those were my favorites! Let me know your picks for best dressed!
P.S. the title is a nod to Merrit Wever’s brilliant acceptance speech. Because sometimes short really is the sweetest.
